Policies, Returns & Cancellations

SHIPPING:
We ship to the address you provide at checkout. Sometimes your address may be prefilled for you at checkout- please make sure to double check it!  We are unable to retrieve packages once they are shipped.
You will receive a tracking number when your purchase ships.  Please track your package and make sure you are home when your package arrives. We are sad to have to even mention this, but mail theft is real, and unfortunately we cannot be responsible for stolen packages if USPS has marked it delivered.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: 
We ship to Canada via USPS.  All duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.  
DAMAGED ITEMS:
We purchase insurance on every item we ship.

In the unfortunate situation your item arrives damaged, please follow this process:
1- STOP, wait to open package
2- Photograph the damaged package
3- Open box and inspect product
4- Photograph damaged item and packaging
5- Notify us, and we will determine if you need to file a claim with your post office or if we need to file a claim with the insurance company.
6- KEEP all packaging until claim is resolved. In some situations, the post master will ask to physically inspect packaging in order to process the claim.

In 5 years of business, we have only had a few damaged items. Replacement or refund of item will be determined on a case by case basis once insurance claim has been awarded. We WILL work with you to determine the best course of action.

We want all our customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase!! We gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations on most items. 

CANCELLATION:
Request a CANCELLATION within 24 hours of purchase

RETURNS:
Most items can be returned.
Personalized items, floating shelves, and custom orders cannot be returned.

Standard items can be returned as follows:
Notify Downright Creative within 3 days of delivery.

Ship items back within 7 days of delivery.

The item must be returned in the original packaging and with the original packaging materials within 7 business days of receiving the item. Once we receive the item back, we will refund the purchase cost MINUS shipping costs.

BUYERS are responsible for RETURN shipping costs and we recommend you insure it. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
